Rhoda Lipscomb

Rhoda J. Lipscomb, M.S.C.
Rhoda previously served on the board of directors for District
202, a gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender youth organization
in Minneapolis, MN. She co-chaired the organizations’ major
annual fundraising drive two years in a row.
As
president, her main focus is ensuring the continued growth
of CLPCA and increasing the visibility within the counseling
|
community. This organization has the potential to
be a great resource for the LPC’s both in agencies and private
practice around the state of Colorado. We look forward to hearing
from members regarding what they feel we are doing well, and areas
we need to continue to improve as an organization.
Rhoda has 14 years
of counseling experience working in the area of reproductive and
sexuality health care for several non-profit
organizations such as Planned Parenthood. She recently went into
private practice and works as a psychotherapist, certified sex
therapist, and sex coach as well as works part-time as a therapist
for agency that provides treatment for convicted sex offenders.

Jacqueline
Flanagan |

Jacqueline Flanagan, MA, NCC, EMDR II
Jacqueline Flanagan is a Nationally Certified Counselor and psychotherapist
in private practice and at a non-profit, mental health clinic dedicated to
providing affordable and clinically effective services for the disenfranchised
children, adults, and families of the Pikes Peak region. She has served |
counselors and counselors in training as President
of Chi Sigma Iota's Chi Upsilon Chapter at University of Colorado
at Colorado
Springs . Currently, as an appointed member of the American Counseling
Association’s Ethics committee, she is actively seeking to
enhance the image of professional counselors as ethically-centered
and accountable to the public at-large. As President-Elect of the
Colorado Licensed Professional Counselors Association (CLPCA), she
is dedicated to supporting CLPCA in order for the organization to
grow and be a viable resource for all counselors in the state of
Colorado .

Secretary
& Treasurer:
Scheila Dennin

Scheila M. Dennin, MA, NCC, CACII, is a National
Certified Counselor specializing in chemical dependency, to include
alcohol, and trauma. She is currently employed at a private agency
as well as doing part-time work at the local hospice. In graduate
school she served her cohort as the Chi Sigma Iota newsletter
editor. Additionally, she served as the Ethics Chair for the Colorado
Counseling Association (CCA) for the 2006/2007
|
fiscal year and is currently in the midst of her second
term. Furthermore, she is serving as the Treasurer/Secretary of
the Colorado
Licensed Professional Counselor Association (CLPCA) for the 2007/2008
fiscal year. Scheila believes that belonging to a professional organization
also means becoming involved in that professional association. She
is an active member of the American Counseling Association, Colorado
Counseling Association, and Colorado Licensed Professional Counselor
Association. She continues to strive to better the counseling profession
by participating in the aforementioned associations by serving on
boards and/or volunteering in positions when needed.

Amber Rockwell

Amber Rockwell, MS
Amber started working at a crisis center and residential treatment
center for adolescents for over 3 years. Currently, she works as
a treatment manager for foster children and foster families. Her
passion is working with at-risk youth and being able to shed light |
on what life can offer with effort and trust from
both sides of a relationship.
She joined the Board to grasp knowledge of the reality of what counselors face
today. She believes it is important to stay informed of changes policies, theories,
and ethics to practice professionally. Amber's hope is to bring a professional
organization to the counseling field that can provide this information to all
counselors.
She is currently working on post-graduate work for my RPT, LMFT, and LPC.

Laura
De Vries

Laura DeVries M.A
Laura graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in December 2005 with
a master's degree in community counseling. During that time Laura worked full
time in the business world bringing that experience with her. |
It is important to Laura to get the
members connected with each other. After attending a few events,
Laura was interested in the Colorado Licensed Professional Counselor
Association and the services provided to its members. She is good
at getting people together and helping them make connections with
each other.
Laura has experience in domestic violence, substance abuse and play therapy.
She is trained in EMDR and DBT.

Michelle Rollins

Michelle Rollins, M.A., LPC, CAC III,
NCC
Michelle is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Addictions
Counselor currently working in community mental health where she
conducts both individual and group psychotherapy. She received an
M.A. in Community Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado
and is pursuing her Ph.D. in psychology at Walden University. She
specializes in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and has presented on
the subject at |
both state and
national conferences. Michelle is also a volunteer with Mental Health
America of Colorado. As Chair of Networking, she is committed to
providing quality opportunities for professional counselors to meet,
exchange ideas and information, and to support one another in our
challenging field.
